Nelscott Beach Access
The Nelscott District has easy beach access. SW 35th St or SW 33rd St are both right near the sand. Don't forget to take a selfie with Joe the Sea Lion, a beloved sea lion from years past.
Just north of the access points are areas primed for beachcombing. Hunt for agates, jasper, quartz, and petrified wood. Who knows, you might even find a coveted glass float while you're at it. If you have any questions about the treasures you have found or might find on our beaches, or are looking for gemstone jewelry, rocks & minerals and other unique gifts, visit Rock Your World.
Food & Drink Scene
Satisfy your appetite with a trip to Nelscott Cafe, and make sure to try one of the best cinnamon rolls around. La Roca is dishing up classic Mexican comforts highlighting foods from the Oaxaca region. The Dory Cove is still jamming, serving American standards and traditional seafood preparations. Follow the slow-smoked scent in the air to Mr. Bill's Smokehouse, which has fantastic beef jerky that could be eaten with a fork and knife, and other smoked indulgences as well.
