Siletz Bay is full of natural adventures. Here are the best ways to get onto the sand and into the water.
SW 51st Street - Flat walkable sands, ample public parking and nearby restaurants—SW 51st Street beach access in the heart of the Historic Taft District makes it easy to adventure onto the sand. Crab from the shoreline or take a stroll on the Taft Dock and take in the beauty of the Four Brothers rock formations.
Siletz Bay Park - A small park with parking, a gazebo and a picnic area provides direct access to Siletz Bay. Schooner Creek and Siletz Bay blend together, making this makes a great location to beachcomb or dig the mudflats for clams.
Siletz Bay Wayside - This graveled parking area is just south of Schooner Creek Bridge on the west side of Highway 101. Trails lead down to the bay and provide instant access to the mudflats at low tide, making it a popular spot for clam diggers. However, entrance to the bay ceases when the tide comes in.
Josephine Young Memorial Park - Resting in the Cutler City District of Lincoln City, Josephine Young Memorial Park juts into Siletz Bay like the prow of a ship. This park has flat access to the bay and a cute picnic area. To get here from Highway 101, turn west on SW 65th Street and the park is at the end of the road.
From the Beach - Siletz Bay can also be accessed from the beach itself. Walk south on the beach in Lincoln City and you’ll reach Siletz Bay. Round the corner to the east and you’ll arrive at the SW 51st Street access.
Beachcombing Treasure hunters can find agates, shells, sea creatures and, of course, our famous hand-blown glass floats hidden all along the beach.
